"Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 ( The Message )
- The Bible: We believe the Bible to be divinely inspired. II Timothy 3:16-17. A word about the "Bible": God's Word is inerrant, infallible, holy, and leads us to a deeper understanding of God and His holy Son, Jesus. Though God's Word is inerrant, we are not, and not everyone agrees on what is written in the Bible. By the grace of God, we seek His wisdom through the writings of the Patriarchs, Prophets, Kings, Apostles, and lay-workers of the early churches knowing full well they wrote His truths down for us to live and learn by. We do our best to interpret the truth for our times in relevant, meaningful ways while trying to hold up to the inerrant truths God has spoken. His Word is irreproachable and must be adhered to. It transcends cultures and time and we must do our best to make the most sense out of it so to give Him glory and live pure lives.
- Need for Salvation: All of mankind needs Jesus. All are worthy of the penalty for sin. All need to repent and come to the Lord God, through Jesus, His Son. Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23, Acts 2:38.
- Who Saves? Jesus Christ was virgin-born, sinless, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead on the third day and is coming again. Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 4:15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; John 14:3.
- Salvation: Salvation is a free gift, bestowed by God's grace and received by faith in Jesus who died for our sins. Ephesians 2:8-9.
- Baptism: Immersion in water of a professed believer is the Bible baptism Acts 8:36-39 and such baptism is symbolic of Christ's death, burial and resurrection Romans 6:1-4. A believer's salvation is secured by Christ alone John 10:27-28.
- Church: The church is the bride of Christ Ephesians 5:25-33 and the body of Christ 1 Corinthians 12. The purpose of the church on earth is to fulfill the last command of Jesus Matthew 28:18-20. Christians are endowed with spiritual gifts which enable them to minister in the church Ephesians 4:11ff
- Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit, whom every believer receives at conversion Ephesians 1:13-14, leads and guides us
